Who I am

I’m a norwegian freelance illustrator and my website address is: https://kirkebergillustration.com
I can be reached at post@kirkebergillustration.com
Note that I am just one person, who can’t afford a legal team to cover all bases with this privacy policy. If something is missing you may contact me and let me know.

Cookies

For the most part, cookies used on this website are necessary for it’s features to function, most notably my webshop, which is delivered by Woocommerce. Some other necessary cookies are related to the spamfilter CleanTalk which prevents my contact form from being an absolute mess of auto generated spam from bots. There are also som functional and analytic cookies, mostly connected to plugins from Instagram/Facebook or Youtube. More on this under “Embedded content from other websites”. The WP-analytics plugin, monitoring traffic, complies with GDPR. Read more under “Who I share your data with”.

What information does this website store

When you use my contact form or buy any products from my store, your contact information you insert there will be stored in this website’s database as sent to me directly via e-mail.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who I share your data with

This page uses WooCommerce for its web shop. I also use WP-statistics plugin to monitor traffic on this site. WP-Statistics is GDPR compliant and protects users’ privacy and personal data. It means that it would not store any cookies on visitors’ browsers, and it keeps your data self-hosted and avoids sharing any data with third-parties. It tracks ip-adress, browser and country. Read more about the plugin here.

WooCommerce

This is privacy policy pasted from Woocommerce:

When a WooCommerce site uses an extension offered on WooCommerce.com, they may be:

  • Collecting additional personal data, such as city and zip code to calculate shipping rates
  • Sharing data with external services, such as billing address to process a payment

This documentation describes what data may be collected and shared about your customers when you use extensions sold on WooCommerce.com. This resource provides a general overview, but if you have specific concerns about a particular extension, we encourage you to contact support about that extension.

Depending on what settings are enabled and which additional plugins are used, the specific information shared by your store will vary. We recommend consulting with a lawyer when deciding what information to disclose on your privacy policy.

As a general rule, store owners should minimize how much personal data they collect, store and share, and disclose what information they’re collecting, storing, and sharing on their privacy policy.

Information shared with WooCommerce.com

By using an extension, you are generally not sharing information about your customers with WooCommerce.com. You will likely be sharing some information about yourself with WooCommerce.com, for example:

  • When you make a purchase on WooCommerce.com and connect your account, we will know what sites you are using the subscription on, but will not get additional usage data, or data about you or your customers.
  • If you are using an extension to connect to a service like Instagram, we may have stored an authentication token in order to make that connection, but will not get additional data about your use of that service or extension.

For more information about how WooCommerce.com handles personal data, please review our privacy policy.

Additionally, if you are using Jetpack or WooCommerce Shipping & Tax (which requires Jetpack), you may be sending back data about your customers. Find out more about these products here.

For more on what information is shared with Marketplace Developers when you purchase their products on WooCommerce.com or log a support request with them, read our overview here.

Payments

If you choose to accept payments through a gateway like Stripe or PayPal, some of your — and your customers’ — data will be passed to the respective third party, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and your customer’s billing information. Learn more about what information you may be sharing.

Shipping

To take advantage of the real-time shipping rates, fulfill orders and track shipments, certain information about you and your customer (as it relates to shipping), shopping carts, orders, and the configuration of your site will be passed to the respective mailing service. Learn more about what data you may be sharing with shipping providers.

Emails

WordPress and WooCommerce do not store information from emails by default. So, using extensions like Product Enquiry will not store any information on your site. However, by using these extensions, you still may be storing personal data or sharing data with an external service. This may be through another plugin, or email client, and you need to make your visitors aware of that.

Extensions that connect to external services

WooCommerce stores may choose to connect to email services, analytics and reporting tools, accounting software, and other services to serve their customers. In doing so, they may be sharing certain data with those services.

You can read more about WooCommerce’s policy here.

How long we retain your data

Data gathered from WooCommerce and the contact form is stored on this site indefinitely.

What rights you have over your data

You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. This includes receipts from the shop.

Where we send your data
